End of the war 1945 in the Lingen area - images, docoments, szenes
First April week 1945 - the English troops occupied the city Lingen and the southern Ems country and to find itself on the further advance northward and the east. An English cameraman and a photographer make themselves common on the way and follow that for 30. Corps of the English army from the west cathedral country over Ahaus and Nordhorn to Lingen and far direction the east. In the area Lingen film and photograph them numerous original scenes of the invasion: among other things the Ems bridge in Wachendorf and the channel bridge in Lingen, the passage of the tanks by the Lookenstreet and the castle route completely clogged with English vehicles, the troop transportation over Ramsel and Freren....
